The General Assembly (GA) is the biggest and the most important annual convention of the EU-Russia Civil Society Forum members. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s edition of the GA will be different from the previous years — fully digital. The GA will take place on May 18, from 9am till 1pm CET online and will continue until May 22 when the voting process would be completed and the results announced.
The agenda of the GA is composed of internal decision-making and accountability processes as well as our active exchange on the Forum strategy until 2025. As in previous years, we will present reports on Forum activities and finances in 2019. The GA will be greeted by the co-chairs Harry Hummel and Łukasz Wenerski. The executive director Anna Sevortian will introduce overall Forum activities. Yuri Dzhibladze and Pavel Havlicek of the Advocacy group and Natalia Taubina and Katarzyna Batko-Tołuć of the Solidarity group will overview their respective group actions in more depth. Financial report will be presented as usual by the Forum’s treasurer Ksenia Vakhrusheva.
This year the Forum members will elect seven new Board members, four from the EU side and three from Russia. Seventeen Forum members candidate for this position whom you will get to know more during the live session on May 18 moderated by the Senior Coordinator for Public Relations Sergei Tereshenkov.
CSF members have recently adopted the new Strategy to guide the Forum’s development through 2025. It is ambitious, challenging and calling for the new initiatives within the Forum. Members can actively contribute to Strategy planning and implementation during and prior to the GA in specially designed sessions.
